Full replacement for teeth
In the event of the loss of one or more teeth, prosthetic dentistry comes into play. One of its collaborating disciplines is implantology, which deals with dental implants. An implant is essentially a "screw" that is drilled into the jawbone to replace the root of a tooth. A dental crown is then attached to it, most often.
Our dentists will first examine you, explain everything in detail and prepare a treatment plan together with you. You don't have to worry about anything, you will always know exactly what to expect and how the procedure will proceed.
We work with state-of-the-art technology and use special software for guided implantology, which, together with the 3D scanner, guarantees maximum safety of the implant application. The 3D X-ray provides the dentist with a digital image of your teeth, including the exact anatomy of your jaw.
The software can then plan the position, inclination and size of the implant. The software also guides him during the procedure itself. This makes the procedure very gentle and respectful of your anatomy.
For crowns, we use materials that contribute to faster recovery and also to the longevity of the new teeth. You can choose from a variety of prosthetic materials, but we most often work with a combination of metal and ceramic or glass ceramic. This is a special hardened ceramic that is close in hardness to metal, but has similar properties to the tooth and looks like it too. Such a restoration is virtually indistinguishable from the actual teeth.
With us, you have everything in one place, including our own laboratory, which prepares prosthetic restorations on the basis of documents sent to us electronically by doctors. Everything is digitized and very fast. This saves you time and energy.
When planning to place a dental implant, we also recommend that you visit a dental hygienist to learn the proper cleaning technique. This is because the implant requires extra care compared to your own teeth.
